Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Skill Samurai Saskatoon Registration Portal ("the Portal") at https://skillsamuraiportal.com, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Skill Samurai Saskatoon provides educational programs including robotics and coding classes, as well as membership packages (MathCode Mastery, MathCode Fusion, and Explorer Track). Our Portal allows parents and guardians to:

• Browse available classes and membership programs
• Register children for programs
• Select time slots and start dates
• Complete digital waiver and consent forms
• Process payments securely
• Manage enrollments and account information

3. Registration and Account

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Portal, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Email Verification

You must verify your email address before accessing your account. We will send a verification code to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email address current and accessible.

4. Enrollment and Payment Terms

4.1 Enrollment Process

When you register a child for a program:

• You must provide accurate information about yourself and your child
• You must acknowledge and agree to our waiver and consent form
• You must complete payment to secure enrollment
• Enrollment is subject to program availability and capacity limits

4.2 Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your enrollment
• Authorize recurring monthly payments for subscription-based programs
• Comply with our cancellation and refund policies (see Section 5)
• Accept that prices are subject to change for future enrollments

4.3 Taxes

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Prices include applicable taxes (GST 5% and PST 6%) as required by Saskatchewan law. Tax breakdowns are displayed before payment and in confirmation emails.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 72-Hour Cancellation Window

You may cancel your enrollment up to 72 hours before the program start date for a full refund (excluding registration fees for membership packages). To cancel, email us at saskatoon@skillsamurai.com. Refunds require admin authorization and are not processed automatically.

5.2 Membership Cancellations

Membership packages can be cancelled at any time after the start date with 30 days' notice via email. Future payments beyond the notice period will be stopped. No refunds are provided for classes already paid for.

5.3 Class Commitment Policy

Classes (such as Robotics & Coding Program) require a minimum 3-month (12-week) commitment. Once a class has started (after the 72-hour window), cancellations are not permitted. Students must complete all payments for the full commitment period.

5.4 Registration Fees

Registration fees for membership packages are non-refundable, even if cancellation occurs within the 72-hour window. Only program fees (monthly payments) are eligible for refund within the cancellation window.

6. Waiver and Consent

By registering your child, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to our Parent/Guardian Consent & Waiver Form, which includes:

• General Liability Waiver
• Technology Use Agreement
• Photography & Video Release
• Code of Conduct Agreement

The waiver is a legally binding agreement. You must acknowledge all sections before completing registration.

7. Program Restrictions

Some programs may have restrictions based on age, grade, or gender. These restrictions are displayed during registration. You agree that your child meets all program requirements before registering. If your child does not meet program restrictions, enrollment may be cancelled and a refund issued (subject to our refund policy).

8. Capacity and Waitlist

Programs have limited capacity (maximum 8 students per time slot). If a time slot is full, you may join our waitlist. When a spot becomes available, you will be notified via email and given 24 hours to complete registration. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule programs if minimum enrollment requirements are not met.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Portal for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Portal or related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Portal's operation
• Provide false or misleading information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use automated systems to access the Portal without permission

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Portal, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Skill Samurai Saskatoon or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skill Samurai Saskatoon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Portal.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skill Samurai Saskatoon, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Portal, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Portal after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saskatchewan.
